Family Appreciation Day was created to spotlight the abundance of family-friendly attractions in San Francisco, while offering every San Francisco family with children the opportunity to visit them. Museums and other attractions throughout San Francisco participated in the Mayor's second annual Family Appreciation Day. In order to participate, adults were required to accompany children between 0 and 18 years of age. One adult in each family was required to provide proof that they live in San Francisco. The entire family received FREE admission to as many participating attractions as they wanted to visit on January 7, 2007.
